Hi, I’m Priyanshu Singh
CS student. Quantum computing enthusiast. Tennis player. Adventurer.

About Me
A bit about how I got here.
Building things, on the court and in code.
I’m a CS student at Northeastern’s Khoury College, Class of 2030. I got hooked on computer science through quantum computing, where the weird rules of physics meet code you can actually run.
Off the keyboard, I’m a tennis player. I spent three years on varsity at Georgetown Prep, two of them as captain, and earned All-IAC honors three times. Competing taught me to stay calm under pressure and keep showing up, which turns out to be useful for debugging too.
My first real project was a single-qubit superposition simulation in Qiskit, and watching a qubit land 50/50 across 1,000 measurements made the whole field click for me.
I grew up in India and came to the Maryland/DC area for high school. When I’m not coding or on the court, I’m chasing adventures, bungee jumping in Vegas, hitting amusement parks, or watching cricket.

What I’m Into
A few things that keep me busy.
Quantum Computing
Exploring how qubits, superposition, and quantum gates can solve problems classical computers can’t. Currently building simulations in Qiskit.
Adventure
Always chasing the next thrill, from roller coasters at Cedar Point to Universal Studios parks around the world, plus a bungee jump in Vegas. Life’s more fun a little outside your comfort zone.
Tennis & Competition
Three years varsity, two as captain, 3x All-IAC. The court taught me focus, grit, and how to handle pressure, on and off the baseline.
Experience
A few roles that shaped me.
Sep 2023 – May 2026
Led the Georgetown Prep varsity tennis team as captain for two seasons. Three years on varsity, 3x All-IAC honoree. Set the tone at practice and kept the team focused through tight matches.
Jun 2026 – Aug 2026
Counselor for Georgetown Prep’s six-week residential English program for international students ages 13 to 17. Helped campers build language skills and settle into life away from home.
Aug 2025 – Apr 2026
Coached kids ages 5 to 16, teaching fundamentals, footwork, and match play. Learned how to break down the game for all skill levels and keep young players motivated.
My Project
Where I’m spending my curiosity right now.
Single-Qubit Superposition in Qiskit

I built a quantum circuit that puts a qubit into superposition with a Hadamard gate, then measured it 1,000 times on IBM’s Aer simulator. The result was a near-even 481/519 split, just what quantum mechanics predicts. I visualized the measurement counts with a Matplotlib histogram. Built with Python and Qiskit.
Recommendations
From people who’ve taught and worked with me.
Priyanshu was one of the most engaged students in my Introduction to Finance & Investment Management course at Columbia’s Pre-College Program. He asked sharp questions, connected concepts quickly, and showed a genuine curiosity about how markets work. Anyone who gets to work with him in the future will be lucky to have him.
